小满是夏季开始、立夏之后的第二个节气，也是二十四节气中的第八个节气。元·吴澄撰《月令七十二候集解》说：“小满，四月中。小满者，物至于此小得盈满。”意思是物至于小满时，万物小得盈满，这时麦类等夏熟作物籽粒已开始饱满，但还没有成熟，所以叫小满。

What is Xiao Man?
各班教师通过讲绘本故事、看科普视频、现场互动等形式，让幼儿了解小满节气的特点以及气候的变化。通过教育活动，小朋友们了解到：小满时节，麦粒渐满，雨水丰厚，人们有“食苦菜、灌溉、祭车神、祭蚕”等习俗。
Teachers in each class let children understand the characteristics of the Xiaoman solar term and climate changes by telling picture book stories, watching popular science videos, and on-site interactions. 苦菜是中国人最早食用的野菜之一，小满是吃苦菜的时节。”苦菜苦中带涩，涩中带甜，新鲜爽口，清凉嫩香，含有多种维生素、矿物质，具有清热、凉血和解毒等功效。

“祭车神”是古老的农业习俗。在相关的传说里，“车神”是一条白龙，在小满时节，人们在水车上放上鱼肉、香烛等物品祭拜，在祭品中会有一杯白水，祭拜时将白水泼入田中，以此祈福水源涌旺。

人们在小满时节举行祈蚕节，意在通过祭祀求得好收成。祈蚕节在江浙一带尤为流行。
