春分者，
阴阳相半也，
故昼夜均而寒暑平。

THE SPRING
春分是二十四节气的第四个，有平分春天之意。
The spring equinox is the fourth of the twenty-four solar terms, which means equal division of spring.
春分时，太阳直射点在赤道上，此后太阳直射点继续北移，天文学上的意义就是南北半球的昼夜平分。在气候上，春分具有明显特征——气候温和，雨水充沛，阳光明媚，万物复苏。我国大部分地区的越冬作物进入春季生长阶段，春耕春种渐次开始。
At the vernal equinox, the direct sunlight point is on the equator, and after that, the direct sunlight point continues to move northwards, which in astronomical significance is the equinox of day and night in the northern and southern hemispheres. In terms of climate, the spring equinox has distinct characteristics – mild weather, abundant rain, sunshine, and the recovery of all things. Overwintering crops in most areas of our country have entered the spring growth stage, and spring ploughing and planting have gradually begun.
“昔日四邑(现在加上鹤山为五邑)的开平苍城镇的谢姓，有个不成节的习俗，叫做“春分吃春菜”。
“春菜”多是嫩绿的，细细的，约有巴掌长短。春菜一般家里与鱼片“滚汤”，名曰“春汤”。
“春菜”是一种野苋菜，乡人称之为“春碧蒿”。逢春分那天，全村人都去采摘春菜。
有顺口溜道：“春汤灌脏，洗涤肝肠。阖家老少，平安健康。”
