10月16日是“世界粮食日”，为了帮助小朋友了解珍惜粮食的重要性，养成爱惜食物、节约粮食的美好品德。在“世界粮食日”来临之际，培基双语幼儿园开展了“爱惜粮食，从我做起”世界粮食日主题教育活动。
October 16th is “World Food Day.” To help children understand the importance of cherishing food, Baston Bilingual Kindergarten launched the “Love Food, Start from Me.”
通过听故事、看视频、猜谜语等方式，让孩子们懂得“一粒粮食能够救一个国家,也可以绊倒一个国家”的重要性，让幼儿明白“谁知盘中餐，粒粒皆辛苦”的道理，即使是一粒小小的米粒，都是农民伯伯辛勤劳动的结晶，也是非常珍贵不能浪费的！
一粥一饭，当思来之不易；半丝半缕，恒念物力维艰。
Through listening to stories, watching videos, guessing riddles, etc., children understand the importance of “a grain of food can save a country, and can also trip a country.”
The truth is that even a small grain of rice is the crystallization of the hard work of the farmer; it is very precious and cannot be wasted!
各园发起“文明餐桌行动”倡议活动，向全园师生及家长发起文明就餐倡议，倡导大家一起行动起来，从我做起，从现在做起，节约用餐、文明用餐，让节约成为一种习惯，把传统美德延续下去。
Each campus launched the “Civilized Dining Table Action” together with teachers, students, and parents to learn how to save food.
各班评选“不挑食的好宝宝”，并结合“光盘行动”评选“优秀班级”,教育幼儿不挑食、不掉饭、不剩饭;鼓励幼儿就餐时做到碗里、桌面、地面三净;呼吁小朋友争做“节粮小卫士”,培养他们树立文明用餐良好风尚。
Children learned not to waste food; teachers encouraged children to clean the bowl, tabletop, and floor after eating; be “food-saving guardians” and cultivate them to establish good customs of civilized dining.
本次主题活动的开展，不仅让孩子们了解生活中种种节粮的做法,更是将珍惜粮食的行动和勤俭节约的美德，通过孩子去传递给每个家庭，真正践行“节约粮食，从我做起”，节约粮食，是美德，是素质，更是责任！
The launch of this themed activity not only allows children to understand the various ways of saving food in life, but also to pass on the actions of cherishing food and the virtues of diligence and frugality to every family.
