Charles给我的惊喜

当快乐的Monkeys带着微笑和拥抱走进蒙特梭利班级的时候，我感到非常开心和感动，孩子们会很友好地跟我打招呼：“Melissa，我很爱你。” 新的一天就这样带着快乐开始了。

在围圈的时候，我们经常唱一首问候歌。当我问候他们的时候，所有的Monkeys都知道如何回应，他们会说：“I am fine, thank you.” （我很好，谢谢你），大家都知道，如果我们能用完整的句子回答问题时，这就意味着我们成长和进步了。
最近，Charles刚升到Monkey班。当我问候每一个小朋友的时候，他听到每个小朋友都在用完整的句子回答我。当我走近他时，他说：“I am fine, thank you.” （我很好，谢谢你），这让我感到很惊讶。
他的回答给我留下了很深的印象，因为英语不是他的母语，但是这是他第一次尝试用一个完整的句子做回答，向其他小朋友学的，而且学的很快很好。过后，他害羞地给了我一个拥抱。我敞开双臂，带着一颗充满爱的心拥抱了他，并告诉他我是多么为他而感到骄傲，他是如此爱和尊重蒙特梭利班级的老师和他的朋友们。
I am always so impressed when our Merry Monkeys come into the Montessori homeroom with smiles and hugs. Many of our students greet me with kindness: “Melissa, I love you so much.” This really begins my day with a brand-new fresh start.
During Circle Time, we often sing the Hello song. All our Monkeys know how to respond when I ask them how they are: “I am fine, thank you.” They know that part of growing up means that we reply in complete sentences. 

Recently, student Charles moved into the Monkey homeroom. When I asked everyone how they were, he heard every child replying in complete sentences. When I approached him, he surprised me: “I am fine, thank you.”
I was impressed by his response because English is not his first language but on his very first try he used a complete sentence. He had immediately picked up on the responses of his friends. After a pause, he shyly gave me a hug. With open arms and a loving heart, I hugged him and told him how proud I am that he showed so much love and respect for Montessori, for the teachers and for his friends.
