“有责任的自由”是蒙特梭利倡导的重要原则之一,她认为纪律是孩子管理自己的能力。
当孩子选择专注于有意义的任务时,纪律形成。孩子当在力所能及范围内自由的工作才能形成自律。
老师允许孩子们去探索,即老师不能在个人工作时间里给孩子强加特殊活动。
蒙特梭利对自由选择的定义是:允许孩子选择与他们的兴趣一致的有趣的活动。老师不能为维持秩序而责骂孩子。而且当孩子们意识到他们想不被打扰地专注自己感兴趣的工作时,他们也学会了如何尊重别人,不去随便打扰别人。
“Freedom with responsibility” is a key tenet of Montessori, which defines discipline as the ability to govern one’s self.
Discipline is attained when a child chooses to focus on meaningful tasks. Freedom bounded by ability-appropriate limits leads to self-discipline.
Teachers allow the children to explore, which means that specific activities are not be imposed on the children during individual work time.
Allowing the child to select interesting activities that correspond with their interests is the definition of free choice. Children are not scolded in order to maintain order. Instead, their own desire to work without interruption inspires them to provide the same space and respect to their peers.
