孩子们热爱的玩具

近期在我们的课堂上，我向孩子们介绍了他们非常热爱的乐高积木，孩子们都兴奋不已。乐高积木以及类似的玩具对于所有年龄段的孩子来说都是非常棒的，但是对于年纪小的孩子来说，安全永远是第一位的，应避免他们将小件的玩具吞食引发窒息。
孩子们都很喜欢这些材料，因为里面有不同难易程度的简单说明，所以孩子们可以根据自己的程度从简单的工作开始，不断加深难度。孩子们通过参照说明，用几块积木搭成某个物品，这有助于开发孩子们的逻辑推理能力，培养他们的耐心。当然，积木还可以根据孩子们的想象力以任何方式拼在一起，而不局限于单个事物。
搭积木有助于孩子们手部肌肉的发育，提升手眼协调能力，对孩子们书写能力的提高有很大的帮助。他们会将积木拼成一个个他们可以玩的玩具，如：潜水艇、宇宙飞船或恐龙。当孩子们的作品完成时，孩子们会有成就感，他们还会将作品展示给朋友、老师和父母看。
乐高积木以及类似的玩具可以帮助孩子们塑造他们个性的重要部分：想象力和创造力。
I recently introduced Legos into our classroom and the kids are crazy in love with them. They and similar products are a great set of materials for kids of all ages, though caution should always come first when introducing younger children to materials with small parts that could cause a choking risk if swallowed.
Our students enjoy the material because they include easy-to-follow instructions of varying difficulties so kids can start easy and work their way up in complexity as they master different levels. Building something with multiple pieces by following instructions helps to develop rational, spatial reasoning skills and patience. And of course, Legos can be put together in any way the kids imagine, they are not limited to creating a single object.
Fitting the pieces together helps to develop the hand muscles and hand-eye coordination that will be used for writing. And the result is typically a small figurine — like a submarine, spaceship or dinosaur — with which they can play. It gives the kids a concrete sense of accomplishment, something they can show their friends, their teachers and their parents. 
Legos and similar materials help kids develop some of the most crucial parts of their personality: the power of imagination and the power of creativity.
