初到阳光灿烂时，我也经历了一番正常的适应调整过程。当我享受在这舒适惬意的工作环境里，并且这种开放快乐的学习方式给我留下深刻印象时，我开始因为孩子而爱上这个地方。他们给了我使命感与成就感。
某天早上我开始在做一些日常准备工作：整理地毯、打开饮水机、准备教具等。所有孩子都来后，我们开始上英语课。进行到数数环节时，主教老师让他们一个一个尝试数数。
好几个孩子都能流利地从1数到10，其中一个新生在这环节时通常是不开口的，即使轮到他时我在他耳边小声提示他也没开口。这一次，他竟出乎意料的笑笑地说出“one”。接下来他顺利地模仿着主教老师从2数到了10.
完成后，我们三个老师不约而同为他大声欢呼鼓掌。这一刻真是太振奋人心了，整个班的老师都感受到很强烈的成就感。他的这次突破让我想起我为什么教书。我热衷于成为孩子们的引路人，带领他们去见识、去感受、去领悟这个美好的世界，带领他们一天天进步起来。
When I first started at Sunshine Home, Iwent through the normal adjustment process. While I enjoy the comfortable workenvironment, and the open and happy learning style impressed, I am falling inlove with this place because of the children. They give me my sense of missionand achievement.
One morning I began my usual routine: cleanthe carpet and water machine, prepare the teaching materials, etc. After allthe kids settled in, we began our English class. When it came to countingpractice, the lead teacher asked them to try and count one by one.
While many kids could count from one to 10fluently, one of our newer kids usually said nothing during this part of class,even though I would quietly whisper the English numbers to him when it wasturn. But this time, he unexpectedly repeated “one” with a smile. He thenrepeated two to 10 smoothly after the lead teacher.
Spontaneous applause broke out when he finished.It was such an inspiring moment and the whole room felt a deep sense ofachievement. His breakthrough reminded me why I teach. I love to be a guide forour children, helping them to see, to feel, to understand our beautiful world,to make progress day by day.
