IV. Listening practice



    Play the tape or for the students to listen and find the answer, then look at the workbook, Exercise 1, go through the questions with the students and make sure they can understand what they mean. Play the tape again, let the students discuss their answers in pains before the teacher checks the answers with the whole class.



V. Presentation



    Show the students a map of the world, and ask: What map is it? Help the students find “China” and “India” on the map. Let the students discuss the two countries: They are developing countries. They have a large population in the world.



    Ask: What’s the population of China and what’s the population of India? Let the students read Part 2 and answer the questions. (China’s population is 1 328 000 000 and India’s population is 1 000 000 000). That’s to say India’s population is smaller than China’s .Ask the students to use the words in the box to complete the passage, then read together, finally ask the students to retell the text.



VI. Practice



    Revise the Grammar: The Past Perfect Tense, give some examples:



    1. He had left before his wife came back.



    2. I remembered that Peter had already got a bike.



    3. By the end of last month, he had learned 2000 new words.



    4. When I got to the cinema, the film had begun.

This name prevailed until today, although the mountain has two local names – Qomolangma in Tibetan, Sagarmatha in Nepali.

  二、分组讲述,迁移讲述经验。
  1、师小结:小企鹅偷吃了明明家的冰淇淋,明明没有责怪它,企鹅爸爸企鹅妈妈很感激就请明明吃鱼。
  2、师讲分组讲述的要求:冰箱里还会发生什么奇怪的事呢?答案就藏在图画里,老师想请大家看图讲讲这些奇怪的事。不过今天讲故事有个要求,小朋友4人一组一起看图讲故事,讲好后每组推荐一名代表到前面来讲故事,比比哪组看图最仔细,讲的故事最精彩。

  3、幼儿4人一组到后面的桌子上看图讲故事,师巡回指导,了解幼儿讲述的基础上启发幼儿发现“小动物吃了冰箱里的食物用自己的行动来回报”这一讲述线索。
  4、师帮助幼儿将图出示在黑板上,引导幼儿代表当众讲故事,讲述过程中师及时肯定、鼓励幼儿完整讲述。
  5、四组幼儿都讲完后,师翻大图书到图四,师:有一天冰箱的门打开了,谁来了?动物们一起来到明明家,快乐地唱歌、跳舞、做游戏。
  三、谈话小结,教育幼儿要爱护动物。
  1、师:企鹅、小兔、小刺猬、鸽子都成了明明的朋友,高兴吗?动物们为什么都和明明做朋友?
  师小结:是啊,因为明明善待了动物,动物们就喜欢上了明明,鸽子为他送信、小猫抓老鼠、小刺猬小兔送来了果子和鲜花,这真是一件美妙的事情啊!
  2、师:世界上生活着人类和各种各样的动物,许多的动物对人类都是有帮助的,动物是人类的朋友,我们应该善待它们,爱护它们。

  附故事:
  明明家的冰箱发生了怪事,昨天妈妈刚买的一箱冰激凌,今天怎么就只剩下2个了?明明决定查清楚这件事,他悄悄地躲在冰箱旁边静静地听,“吧嗒吧嗒”冰箱里传来了一阵轻轻的脚步声,明明飞快地拉开冰箱们,呀!一只小企鹅正捧着冰激凌吃得真香呢!
  小企鹅看见明明,转身就逃,明明跟着走进了冰箱,夷,里面好大呀,到处是冰天雪地。明明看见前面有一座半圆形的冰房子,就推门进去了,冰屋里企鹅爸爸和企鹅妈妈睁大了眼睛,紧张地看着明明。小企鹅躲在妈妈的身后,害怕地说:“请你别抓我,我以后再也不偷吃你的冰淇淋了。”明明笑咪咪地说:“别害怕,我不会伤害你们的,小企鹅你喜欢吃冰淇淋,就请吃吧。”企鹅爸爸企鹅妈妈感激地说:“谢谢明明,你对我们家宝宝真好,我们请你吃鱼”。
  原来,明明家的冰箱连着南极企鹅的家呀!
