My name is Ailidh McManus. I am from Scotland in the UK. I graduated from the University of Dundee with a Degree in Law. During this time, I spent my summers working in Maryland at a special needs summer camp, mainly working with children with autism and behavioural issues.

I believe that children learn best through play and exploring their interests. I hope to give children time and space to explore based on their curiosity in the classroom to stimulate their interest and help them become an independent learner. 

Throughout my time working with children, I wish for them to maintain their curiosity, creativity and be an active learner.

我是艾利德·麦克马纳斯，来自英国苏格兰，本科毕业于邓迪大学，获得法律学位。

在大学期间，我利用暑假时间在特殊儿童夏令营工作，主要是帮助自闭症和行为问题的儿童。

Hello, my name is Matthew John Meloy. I am from the North of England in the UK and I graduated from Liverpool John Moores University. 

I love children and I quickly get on well with them and I believe this is because I am basically a big kid at heart.

I believe children need clear, defined daily rules and routines for them to quickly and easily understand and follow. Once these rules and routines are known by everyone in the class, teaching and learning becomes easy and almost automatic. In addition, this gives me freedom to be the fun and sometimes silly teacher that I am to the point where children don’t even realise, they are learning.

我很喜欢孩子，能够很快地融入他们，因为我内心其实还是一个大孩子。

Hi. My name is Greg Curtis from England, UK. I studied at Bristol University near my hometown, where I got a Degree in Teaching. 

For over 2 years I have been teaching EYFS at one of the top schools in Beijing. Through this, I can see how EYFS helps children develop, using exploration and play. Lessons are far more hands on, allowing the children to use the words they have learnt whilst playing with friends and teachers. This means that children learn in real world situations, feeling confident and positive.

I care and love for the children in my class and always work very hard to make lessons fun and interesting, spending time to ensure that each child will be catered for.

嗨！我是格雷格·柯蒂斯，来自英国。我曾就读于布里斯托尔大学，并获得了教学学位。

Hello! My name is Alexis Powell. I graduated from the University of Louisville with a bachelor’s degree in Communications. I am obtaining my master’s degree in early childhood education from Moreland University.

My ability to include different teaching styles to accommodate the students helps to ensure that each child gets the education they need. 

While I believe that it is essential to have structure and order in a classroom, I am a firm believer that children thrive when their individual interests are incorporated into their learning environment. Hence, learning best occurs when children are given the freedom to learn, have fun, be themselves, explore and are able to communicate positively with their peers.

我本科毕业于路易斯维尔大学传媒专业，目前正在攻读莫兰德大学的幼儿教育硕士学位。

Hello. My name is Mick. I have been a K3 teacher here for 6 years and it has been some of the most wonderful years of my life. Having witnessed the changes that have happened over the last few years and the metamorphosis from RKEC to MEIYI, I can truly say that the current setup provides the highest quality and environment for children to learn.

Their learning ability is mostly shaped by the environment around them and the structures in which they are exposed to. 

The children of MEIYI will benefit from a world-class environment, which is not only aesthetically pleasing, but also creates the perfect conditions for learning. It also creates a safe space for children to feel comfortable and secure. It is my hope that the children will be able to make the most of this opportunity provided to them and that in collaboration with the teachers, excel and grow into strong, independent individuals that their parents can be proud of.

Hello! My name is Beatrice. I have a Double level Masters’ Degree in 2016. Back in the days, I used to join the local community Summer Camp and eventually became a volunteer in organising children’s’ activities. Besides that, I used to be a professional volleyball coach for children under the age of 12 for about 5 years before moving to Shenzhen. 

My love for children drew me to teaching, and my love of learning made me passionate about it. 

Learn by playing is my motto! I believe that the children can definitely learn better and faster while having fun.As a teacher, I know that every day I will be making an impact on someone’s life and I have the responsibility to help them learn and lay a solid foundation for them. I enjoy working with the young learners because I witness how amazing their little minds can be so powerful and creative. This is the most rewarding feeling I gained!

Hello, my name is Jamie Ali, I am from Wales in the United Kingdom.  I have a Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations with conflict studies from Leeds Metropolitan University. 

I am a big believer in children enjoying their journey through education, a fun and interactive learning environment will help them realise their full potential while discovering more about who they are. I enjoy creating hands on experiences where the children can discover English through stimulation, helping children realise that there are so many different ways to learn. My aim is for children to feel comfortable and relaxed around me so they can really throw themselves into tasks and enjoy the learning experience.

My name is Michael Kinghan. I am from a family of teachers. My mother was a Kindergarten teacher and my two sisters are currently teachers in Canada.

I have been a full-time ESL teacher for the past 14 years. I have been living and teaching in Shenzhen, China for 6 years. I am a very passionate, loving and empathetic teacher. I truly want to help my students achieve their goals and even exceed them. 

Teaching is my life. Throughout my career as an ESL teacher, I have taught many different books and curriculum. I was always able to follow them precisely as well as enhancing them to a level that achieved the best results. I can have a goal-driven lesson plan while ambling myself to change directions in my teaching to fulfill the best needs of the students.

Hello! My name is Ethan. I have taught developmental drama in China for 6 years. I have got Masters degree in TV acting and hosting at #1 cinema, television and theatre University in Ukraine.

I have successfully finished over 40 stage performances as a director and gained Helen O’Grady drama international certificate which allows me to teach in 55 countries. I strongly believe that drama can help rediscover yourself and build a healthy and open-minded relationship not only with those around you, but inner real “you”.

大家好！我是Ethan。我在中国教发展戏剧，已经有6年了，在乌克兰排名第一的电影电视戏剧大学获得了电视表演和主持硕士学位。

I attended High Tech High School, a vocational school in North Bergen New Jersey, where I began formally studying drama and performance. I continued my theatre education At High Point University in High Point North Carolina. During this time I participated in productions including main stage, black box, and even a production of Shakespeare’s As You Like It in an abandoned shopping mall. After graduating with a BA in theatre performance. I am so excited to bring the acting lessons I’ve learned so far to people in Shenzhen. When I was young, my instructor emphasized technique over performance. I think this is a good mindset for people; the technique is the art, the performance is how you share it with the world.

高中时，我就读于新泽西州北卑尔根的院校High Tech High School，在那里我开始正式地学习戏剧和表演。

之后，我来到北卡罗来纳州的高点大学，继续研修戏剧教育。在此期间，我参与了包括主舞台、黑匣子在内的舞台创作，甚至在一个废弃的购物中心制作了莎士比亚的《As You Like It》。
