【家长会报告系列之二】蒙特梭利课程 帮助我让我自己做

蒙特梭利教学法的核心是以自我为导向进行工作，动手实际操作学习，以及与同伴之间合作玩耍。因而在蒙特梭利教室中，我们以此为基础，为每个学生提供最合适的学习机会。我们鼓励学生独立工作，以及在小组的集体中工作。我们培养学生优雅和有礼貌的行为习惯，进而帮助他们社交能力的发展。
在接下来的几个月中，我们会增强练习日常生活中的各种活动，包括扫地，清洗，以及掸尘土等活动。我们会结合接下来的植物与花朵的主题，让学生练习种种子，给种子浇水，松土到发芽等一系列活动。
在语言区域，我们重点让学生造一些英文小词，练习发音，练习握笔，以及让学生照着纸张上的图案描字母等工作。在数学区，我们会增强学生对个十百的理解，进行算术，用卡片学习十进制。 
外太空主题让学生学习了太阳系，各个行星的名字以及人类是如何飞行到太空中去的。他们还认识了太阳是星系中最亮和最大的行星，其他行星都围绕着太阳转。接着我们还一起探讨了我们的母亲地球。 
玛丽亚蒙特梭利曾经说过“人类的智慧来源于双手”。而我一直相信孩子们用他们小小的成就为世界带来快乐与喜悦。孩子们每一阶段的成长让他们实现充分的自我表达，让他们的批判性思维和创造力进一步提高。这就是蒙特梭利的真谛。我们会一直尽力解放孩子内心深处对独立的需求：“帮助我让我自己做”。
The Montessori method is based on self-directed activity, hands-on learning and collaborative play and so we have focused in the classroom on giving each student the learning opportunities best suited to that child. We encourage our students to work both individually and in groups. We have also focused on grace and courtesy exercises to develop proper behavior and social interactions.
In the upcoming months we will focus on practical activities and self-care such as sweeping, washing and dusting a table. We will tie into the Plants and Flowers academic theme by introducing germination and planting our own seeds.
In our Language area, we will focus on sounds that make up small words, pencil grip and tracing the alphabet with pictures on paper. In math, we will be focusing on units, tens and hundreds, and also making numbers and reading them with the quantities decimal with cards. 
During the Outer Space theme, the children learnt about the solar system, the names of the planets and how humans fly up into space. The children were shown a sun as the brightest and biggest star and all the other planets revolving around it. We talked in more depth about Earth as our home planet.
Maria Montessori once said, “The hands are the instruments of man’s intelligence.”

I always have faith in children as they bring happiness and joy to the world with their small achievements. I know their breakthroughs lead them to achieve their fullest self-expression in their critical thinking and in their creativity. That is what Montessori is about. And we always strive to reveal a child’s inner need for independence: ‘Help me to do it alone’.”
