大暑的由来

大暑节气是24节气的第12个节气，也是夏季最后一个节气，一般公历的7月22-24号左右为大暑节气的开始。暑，是炎热的意思，这个节气到了一年中温度最高的时候，此时阳光极其强烈，地面所积累的辐射较多，气压比较低，暑热程度甚至超过小暑，因此称为大暑。

送 暑
送暑，送走瘟疫保平安。送“大暑船”是浙江沿海地区渔村的传统习俗，其意义是把“五圣”送出海，送暑保平安。送”大暑船”时，伴有丰富多彩的汉族民间文艺表演。
吃 凉
吃凉。粤东南地区流传谚语“六月大暑吃仙草”。仙草又名凉粉草、仙人草，是一种消暑甜品。台湾有大暑吃凤梨的习俗，人们认为此时凤梨最好吃，加上凤梨闽南语发音和“旺来”相同，也象征祈求平安吉祥、生意兴隆。
喝 热
喝热。福建等地吃荔枝、羊肉和米槽来“过大暑”；山东等地要”喝暑羊”，俗称“吃伏羊”，蒸新面、杀只羊，吃新馍、喝羊肉汤：湖南等地还有晒伏姜的习俗，老姜放在簸箕中或用棉线穿成一串，吊在屋檐下，直到末伏的最后一天。
