We celebrate the Double Ninth Festival in golden autumn, October. The sun and moon return together for a long time.
九九重阳，因为与“久久”同音，九在数字中又是最大数，因此有长久长寿的含义。又因秋季也是一年收获的黄金季节，重阳佳节寓意深远，人们对此节历来有着特殊的感情。
The Double Ninth has the same pronunciation as “Jiujiu”, nine is the largest number, so it has the meaning of longevity. And because autumn is also the golden season of harvest of the year, the Double Ninth Festival has far-reaching implications, and people have always had special feelings for this festival.
我们中国人在很久以前就已经开始庆贺这个吉祥的日子了，庆祝重阳节的活动多彩浪漫，一般包括出游赏景、登高远眺、观赏菊花、遍插茱萸、吃重阳糕、饮菊花酒等活动。
It is a traditional festival of the Chinese nation. The activities to celebrate the Double Ninth Festival are colorful and romantic. In ancient times, there were customs of climbing high to pray for blessings, visiting chrysanthemums in autumn, wearing dogwood, offering sacrifices to gods and ancestors, and feasting for longevity and other activities.
今天的重阳节被赋予了新的内涵，在1989年，我国把每年的九月九日定为老人节，将传统与现代巧妙地结合，成为尊老、敬老、爱老、助老的老年人的节日。
Today’s Double Ninth Festival has been given new connotations. In 1989, our country established September 9th each year as the Elder’s Day, combining old traditions and modernity, give respect, love, and help the elderly.
重阳节前夕，我们老师带领孩子精心编排儿歌，制作了精美的爱心贺卡，鼓励孩子们回家给爷爷奶奶表演儿歌，给爷爷奶奶送上节日的祝福:祝爷爷奶奶身体健康，节日快乐!
